Request that the City Manager be authorized to sign Contract No. 2024-0002R Drug Testing and Alcohol Screening for the Fire Department between the City of El Paso (“City”) and Muhammad Sameed Khan dba P&N Ventures LLC dba Fastest Labs of El Paso for drug testing and alcohol screening services for the Fire Department for a three (3) year term from the effective date and one (1) option to extend for two (2) years under the same terms to be exercised by the City Manager or designee, for an estimated total cost of $117,750.00 for the first term, $78,500.00 for the option to extend for two years, and an estimated total cost of $196,250.00 including the option to extend; and that service provider is to be paid based on the services performed. Contract Variance: The difference based in comparison to the previous contract is as follows: An increase of $113,000.00 for the initial term, which represents a 135.74% increase due to price increases for all services. It is requested that the City Manager be authorized to establish the funding sources and make any necessary budget transfers and execute any and all documents necessary for execution of this award. In accordance with this award, the City Manager or designee is authorized to exercise future options if needed.
