Bicycle Helmet Ordinance Details: The City of Camas does not currently have a local ordinance regarding bicycle safety helmets, however, many other cities do have such an ordinance. The City Council has asked staff to look into the matter and provide information to council about helmet ordinances. All cities who have adopted local ordinances recognize the health and public safety aspect of such legislation and carefully craft language to ensure that the goals of the legislation are achieved without overly burdensome penalties.
