Resolution No. 17-018 A Policy Prohibiting Smoking and Tobacco Use Within City Parks Details: A voluntary compliance policy that would restrict smoking of tobacco products, use of tobacco products of any kind, and use of any inhalant or delivery system of any tobacco products while in or within the immediate area of the following City park facilities: (a) playgrounds, skate parks, and play areas; (b) public restrooms, shelters, and gazebos; (c) public events at any City park, ball field, public swimming facility, to include but not be limited to, any picnic, concert, and during all adult and youth sports league games and practices. The City Council indicated that the adoption of this policy is intended as an educational tool, with appropriate warnings to be provided as may be deemed necessary.
