Order to adopt a Resolution accepting the bid of Thornton Construction Company, Inc. for the Southeast Sanitary Sewer Improvements-Airport Road project, finding that the conforming bid of Thornton Construction Company, Inc. is the lowest and best bid in the amount of $3,255,970.00, and that the contract should be and is hereby awarded to Thornton Construction Company, Inc. and to authorize Mayor Windham to sign all related documents. 24-2136 approve Pass

Order to adopt a Resolution accepting the bid of Suncoast Infrastructure, Inc. for the Citywide Sewer Rehabilitation, finding that the conforming bid of Suncoast Infradstructure, Inc. is the lowest and best bid in the amount of $1,512,040, and that the contract should be and is hereby awarded to Suncoast Infrastructure, and to authorize Mayor Windham to sign all related documents. 24-2137 approve Pass

Order to adopt a Resolution to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Mississippi Transportation Commission and the City of Pearl to address the need for improvements and modifications to traffic signals along the State Highway System within the City limits, and to enhance safety and reliability through an active traffic management program as a part of the “Active Traffic Signal Operations in Metro Jackson (MACTS Ops) project. 24-2138 approve Pass
  30. 23. Order to authorize and approve payment of Pickering Invoice for $14,865 on the MPO Raised Medians Project (70% MDOT reimbursed). 24-2129 approve Pass

Order to authorize and approve Amendments 1 & 2 of the Professional Services Agreement between the City of Pearl and Pickering Firm, Inc. on the MCWI Sewer projects: Grandview, SE Sewer-Airport Road, and Citywide Sewer Rehabilitation in order to comply with the US Treasury’s 2 CFR Part 200, specifically the Byrd-Anti-Lobbying Amendment, and a General Provision on Contract Termination, and to authorize Mayor Windham to execute the same. 24-2133 approve Pass

Order to authorize and approve the Memorandum of Understanding to memorialize an agreement to obligate the Municipality’s ARPA State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (“Funds”) on the Grandview Heights Sewer Rehabilitation Project (37), for those purposes set forth in the Subaward Agreement between the City of Pearl and the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, and to authorize Mayor Windham and Alderman Stovall to execute the same. 24-2142 approve Pass
  33. 26. Order to adopt a Resolution finding that the certain items identified on the attached list, submitted by Pearl Police Dept., which is incorporated herein by reference, as surplus, and to approve the disposal and/or sale of each item as required by law. 24-2134 approve Pass

Order to approve and authorize the police officers identified on the proposed part-time work schedule for November/December 2024, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, the use of the official Pearl Police Department uniform and official Pearl Police Department duty weapon and finding that the proposed employment is not likely to bring disrepute to the City of Pearl, or the Pearl Police Department, the officers at issue, or law enforcement generally, and that the use of the official uniform and weapon in the discharge of the officer’s private security endeavor promotes the public interest of the City of Pearl. 24-2143 approve Pass
