Department of Transportation recommending the Board consider the following for the US 50 / Ponderosa Road Interchange Projects Phase 1A - North Shingle Road Realignment, Capital Improvement Program number 36104009 and US 50 / Ponderosa Road Interchange Phase 1B - Durock Road Realignment, CIP 36104008: 1) Make findings pursuant to Section 3.13.030 (B) of the County Ordinance Chapter 13.3, Contracting Out, that the work requires specialty skills and qualifications not expressly identified in County classifications are involved in the performance of the work; 2) Award Request for Proposal 2025-0157 to Dokken Engineering; 3) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign Agreement for Services 10352 with Dokken Engineering to provide right of way Services in the amount of $399,740.86 for a term beginning upon execution and expiring three (3) years thereafter; and 4) Authorize the Purchasing Agent to execute any necessary amendments to Agreement for Services 10352, excluding term extensions and increases to the total compensation amount, contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Human Resources. (District 4) FUNDING: Traffic Impact Fees - Highway 50. (Local Funds)
