Facilities, a division of the Chief Administrative Office, recommending the Board: 1) Make findings pursuant to Section 3.13.030 (B) of the El Dorado County Ordinance Chapter 3.13, Contracting Out, that the installation of specialized electronic detention systems requires specialty skills and qualifications not expressly identified in County classifications; 2) Waive formal bid requirements in accordance with Procurement Policy C-17, Section 3.4 (4), due to there being a competitively bid contract with another public agency available; and 3) Authorize the Purchasing Agent to sign Amendment I to Agreement for Services 8292 with Securitas Technology Corporation, extending the term for six months with no change in the total compensation amount, with a new term expiration of January 31, 2026, for work to replace the control system at the El Dorado County Juvenile Treatment Center in South Lake Tahoe.
