Subject: Amendment sponsored by Alder Weidner- Remove Department of Community Safety from levy, apply 175,000 from Wage Fund for gap funding for 6 months until the Department of Community Safety received the grant dollars applied for or, should grant funding fail, to give the Department opportunity to request a public referendum to fund positions as was required of the fire department to fund the 9 positions eliminated in the 2021 budget. Include removal of strike-through language from corresponding ordinance.
