Subject: Communication sponsored by Alder Horton, on behalf of the Human Resources Director, requesting that the second shift premium for Department of Public Works employees in the area of fleet maintenance be increased from $0.20 per hour to $2.00 per hour. Recommendation of the Finance and Personnel Committee on 10-27-2025: That the $0.20 per hour second shift premium be amended to $2.00 per hour and that the Human Resources Director apply the $2.00 per hour second shift premium to all current and future second shift employees effective immediately. Fiscal Note: Estimated cost of the increase is less than $50,000 and is budgeted in the Equipment Management budget.
