2. Park and Recreation Board Chairperson report. (Z. Marshall)Mr. Marshall has informed us that he will be relocating outside of the City of Greenfield.
3. Approval of minutes of the Park and Recreation Board meeting.Motion was made by Ms. Bailey, seconded by Ms. Cherek to approve July 23rd, 2026 meeting minutes. Motion was approved unanimously.
4. Planning Commission report. (Z. Marshall)Mr. Marshall reports that a new hotel is scheduled to be developed in the City of Greenfield.
5. Discussion/Decision regarding the 2027 Special Revenue Budget for the Department of Parks and Recreation. (M. Cancilla)Ms. Cancilla presented the board with information regarding the 2027 Special Revenue Budget. A 4% increase is anticipated, resulting in a budget balance of $986,086.00.Motion was made Mr. Braswell, seconded by Ms. Bailey. Motion approved unanimously by a roll call vote.
6. Director of Parks & Recreation report. (M. Cancilla)Ms. Cancilla reports that the beer garden is performing well. Our 10th Annual Car Show was a success, with over 500 vehicles in attendance. Upcoming events include the DPW Expo at Konkel Park. Fall Fest is scheduled for the first weekend of October. The pickleball project has been completed. Ms. Bailey has received some feedback regarding the cost to participate in pickleball. Ms. Cancilla explains that we have hired paid instructors instead of relying on volunteers. Additionally, a parking lot has been added at The Turf, and the shelter is nearing completion.
