An ordinance amending Titles 1, 2, 5, and 8 of the Municipal Code, relating to Administration and Personnel, the Building and Development Code, Health and Sanitation, and Public Safety, by adding a new Chapter 2.24, entitled “Property Maintenance and Nuisance Code”, and amending, repealing, and replacing relevant language in various chapters, to implement a consistent, comprehensive, and legally defensible standard for property maintenance, and strengthen the City’s tools for addressing repeat and chronic violations, effective January 1, 2027.
