Brandy Campbell, 909 Piedmont Street, S. E., appeared before the Council and spoke with regard to Gun Violence Awareness Month, the untimely death of her brother by gunfire and the many resources Carilion has for grief care. Victor Banks, 2604 Springhill Drive, N. W., appeared before the Council and spoke with regard to the Melrose Athletic Club and Champs Gym who have produced many great boxers at the State and local levels. Alton Akin, 1607 Red Oak Lane, S. W., appeared before the Council and spoke with regard to the challenges facing the new Interim City Manager and past actions of the former City Manager.
