Closed session pursuant to Virginia Code Sections 2.2-3711.A (.1) (.6) and (.8) to discuss appointments as listed on the agenda, to discuss the performance of the City Manager and Clerk of Council, and to discuss the prospective candidates for the City Attorney position; to discuss or consider the investment of public funds where competition or bargaining is involved, where, if made public initially, the financial interest of the city would be adversely affected; and to consult with legal counsel employed or retained by the City regarding short term rentals which requires the provision of legal advice by such counsel.
