1. Discuss and consider approving a resolution awarding group insurance renewal bids to United Healthcare for group medical insurance; Aetna for group dental insurance; Surency for administration of COBRA, retiree billing, flexible spending, health savings, and health reimbursement accounts; Alliance Work Partners for the employee assistance program; NY Life for group life and disability insurance; Legal Shield for voluntary prepaid legal services; AFLAC for voluntary group accident, critical illness, and medical supplemental insurance; and authorizing the City Manager to execute the terms and conditions of the various group agreements by and between the City of Sachse and said parties for said coverages; providing a repealing clause; and providing for an effective date.Cory Hood, Account Executive with HUB International, will present.
2. Consider authorizing the City Manager to execute a two-year interlocal agreement between the City and the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) in the amount of One Hundred Fifty-Four Thousand, Seven Hundred One and No/100 Dollars ($154,701.00) to be paid to the City annually for law enforcement services on the portion of the President George Bush Tollway (PGBT) within the jurisdictional limits of the City of Sachse.
3. Authorize the City Manager to execute a seven-year contract with Motorola Solutions for Body Worn, In-Car, and Interview room camera systems, the associated hardware, software, cloud storage, installation, and warranty for Police Department operations in the amount of Two Hundred Sixty-Seven Thousand, Three Hundred Ninety-Nine 50/100 Dollars. ($267,399.50)
4. Authorize the purchase of one 2026 John Deere 310P Backhoe Loader from RDO Equipment through the Sourcewell cooperative purchasing program (#011723-JDC) not to exceed One Hundred Twenty-Seven Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($127,000.00).
5. Call to Order: The City Council of the City of Sachse will hold a regular meeting on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 6:30 PM to consider the following items of business:
6. Accept the monthly revenue and expenditure report for the period ending August 31, 2026.
7. Invocation and Pledges of Allegiance.
8. The City Council shall convene into Executive Session pursuant to Texas Government Code Section §551.071 Consultation with Attorney (2) on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with this chapter: Confidentiality of executive session
9. Take any action as a result of Executive Session regarding Project Crimson.
10. The City Council shall convene into Executive Session pursuant to Texas Government Code Section §551.087 Economic Development Deliberations: Deliberate the offer of a financial or other incentive relating to the development of Project Crimson.
