- Consider and take appropriate action on an Engagement Agreement with Eggleston King Davis, LLP for supplemental legal services regarding Charter amendment petitions and related matters.
- Consider and take appropriate action on proposed Amendment No. 1, between the City of Mineral Wells and Parkhill, for Professional Engineering Services in the amount of $128,449.25 for “Group C” a portion of the 2018 G.O. Bond Street Reconstruction Project.
- EXECUTIVE SESSION: In accordance with the Texas Government Code, Section 551.001, et seq., the City Council will recess into Executive Session (closed meeting) to discuss the following:a. § 551.071: To consult with its attorneys regarding pending or contemplated litigation or a settlement offer or on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the City under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with the Open Meetings Act, regarding: Charter amendment petitions.
- Consider and take appropriate action on the City Clerk’s certification of the results of the City Clerk’s examination of the petition to amend Article III, Section 21 of the City Charter to add the following sentences to the end of said Section 21: “Term limitations shall provide that no person will serve as mayor or councilman for more than (2) consecutive elected terms. No person shall serve as mayor or councilman for more than (8) consecutive years in combination as both councilman and mayor. This amendment shall be effective immediately and shall apply to all current officers” (the “Article III Petition”).
