Discuss, consider and/or take action regarding the Rural Early Literacy funding request by the Lubbock Area United Way pursuant to Section 74.601 et seq. of the Texas Property Code. The funds, as defined in the Texas Local Government Code Section 381.004, will be used to promote literacy programs in our community.
