  5. 4 The invocation was given by Pastor Ryan Lehtinen with Clear Creek Community Church. Mayor Long led in the pledges of allegiance to the flags.

Andy Mann – No Comments Tommy Cones – Just real quick, I want everybody to remember 9/11. Please, say your prayers for the men and women who lost their lives and their family and all the first responders who are continuously suffering from 9/11. Thank you. Tom Crews- No Comments Mayor Long – On that note, I want to say thank you to the Volunteer Fire Department for what they put together this weekend out at Veterans. It was a stair climb for the 20th anniversary of 9/11. It was really well attended. It had a bunch of different people from all over the community. They drug out several little league baseball teams and girl scouts and fire departments from around the area, as well. It was a great event.

  65. 55 Any invocation that may be offered during the ceremonial portion of the City Council meeting shall be the voluntary offering of a private citizen, to and for the benefit of the Council. The views or beliefs expressed by the invocation speaker have not been previously reviewed or approved by the Council and do not necessarily represent the religious beliefs or views of the Council in part or as a whole. No member of the community is required to attend or participate in the invocation and such decision will have no impact on their right to actively participate in the business of the Council.
