Discussion with possible action regarding the status of the economic impact study related to a potential Project Finance Zone (PFZ), a designation under Texas law that allows a municipality to establish a three-mile zone centered on a convention center or arena, within which incremental state hotel occupancy tax revenue and, where authorized, certain sales tax revenues generated within the zone may be rebated to the City for a period of up to 30 years to support related improvements, and any other matters incident thereto.
