Consideration to approve a Memorandum of Understanding between the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), the Sponsoring Agency of Texas A&M Task Force 1, and the City of Laredo Fire Department, to delineate responsibilities and procedures for Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) activities under the authority of the State of Texas Emergency Management Plan, for firefighter Sean Soria. This agreement shall be for three years, ending on October 31, 2028, unless terminated by either party upon a 30-day written notice. TEEX shall reimburse the City of Laredo for each employee activated as a member for payroll and associated costs during the member’s participation in state and/or federal disaster deployments. The program will be accounted for in the General Fund - Fire Department.
