Authorizing the City Manager to enter into a Lease Agreement and Service Contract between the City of Laredo and Laredo Center for Urban Agriculture and Sustainability, a local government corporation, in the amount of $45,000.00 per year for a term of three years, for purposes of providing consulting services for the City of Laredo to create and promote an urban food system for the City of Laredo, to include offering educational programs, developing community-supported agriculture, cultivating water, soil and air sustainability opportunities, providing a city-wide food security plan and aiding in the creation of policies and incentives for the local food industry. Funding is available in General Fund.
