A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Laredo, Texas authorizing the City Manager to Submit a grant application in the estimated amount of $40,000.00 to the Texas Department of Transportation for the enforcement of vehicle occupant protection during the “Click It or Ticket” (CIOT) Campaign. The grant period for FY2026 CIOT will begin May 15, 2026 through June 03, 2026. This grant is to pay overtime salaries and fringe benefits for officers to conduct intense occupant protection enforcement in order to increase occupant restraint use in all passenger vehicles and trucks. The city will be responsible for a required match of approximately $9,300.00 from the General Fund. Funding is available in the Special Police Fund.
