Authorizing the City Manager to waive bus fares for all El Metro bus services on June 30, 2024, for the 19th Annual National "Dump the Pump" Day. El Metro is teaming up with transportation agencies nationwide to celebrate the 19th Annual National "Dump the Pump" Day on Sunday, June 30, 2024, by offering free rides on all El Metro transit mobility services we offer such as fixed-route services and the El Lift Paratransit services. The day is dedicated to raising community awareness whereas public transportation can save people money, promote walking ability, and reduce the harmful greenhouse gases emitted into our environment. El Metro Operations budget will be used for this event.
