Authorizing the City Manager to ratify the submission of a grant application in the amount of $1,401,606.00 to the Texas Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority (MVCPA) to fund the Laredo Auto Theft Task Force for the period of September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025. This grant pays for salaries, supplies, and equipment for the LPD Auto Theft Unit. The city’s local match is $518,328.00 for a total grant amount of $1,919,934.00. Funding is available in the Auto Theft Task Force Fund.
