Authorizing the City Manager to submit a grant application in the estimated amount of $201,235.00 to the Texas Department of Transportation for the Road to ZERO Education and Safety Instruction Program. Program will be targeting education curriculum for youth and adults to make safer choices on seatbelt safety, texting and driving, driving under the influence, and responsibilities of pedestrians, motorcyclists, and pedal cyclists. The grant performance period is October 01, 2024 through September 30, 2025. This grant is for salaries and fringe benefits, travel expenditures, supplies, and equipment. The 20% required match for the City of Laredo is approximately $40,997.00.Funding is available in the General Fund.
