3. Receive public input and consider and take appropriate action on Ordinance O-08-24, an ordinance of the City Council of the City of Kaufman, Texas, repealing Section 12.11.001 of Chapter 12 of the Code of Ordinances and adopting a new Section 12.11.001 of Chapter 12 in order to adopt the 2024 Water Conservation Plan and 2024 Model Water Resource and Emergency Management Plan for the City of Kaufman to promote responsible use of water and to provide for criminal penalties up to $2,000.00 per day and violation and/or the disconnection of water service for noncompliance with the provisions of the Water Conservation Plan in addition to other fees and penalties; providing a penalty clause, and an effective date.
