- Second Reading: Consider and take appropriate action on Ordinance O-04-26, an ordinance of the City Council of the City of Kaufman, Texas, amending Ordinance No. O-31-20 approving the Contract for Collection of Solid Waste, an exclusive franchise agreement with Republic Waste Services of Texas, LTD. (“Franchise Agreement”), in order to approve the Third Amendment to the Franchise Agreement as set forth in Exhibit “A” thereto; providing for two readings in accordance with City Charter; providing for the incorporation of premises; approving the Third Amendment to the Franchise Agreement adopting an updated Term and Modification of Rates and repealing all conflicting terms of prior amendments to the Franchise Agreement and Ordinance No. O-31-20; authorizing the Mayor to execute the amended agreement upon its final approval; providing a cumulative repealer clause; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date.

- Consider and take appropriate action on Ordinance O-07-26, an ordinance of the City Council of the City of Kaufman, amending various provisions of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Kaufman, specifically amending Chapter 4, “Building Regulations” and Chapter 6, “Fire Prevention and Protection” by adopting and incorporating into the Code of Ordinances by reference the 2021 International Building Code, the 2021 International Residential Code, the 2020 National Electrical Code, the 2021 International Plumbing Code, the 2021 International Mechanical Code, the 2021 International Fuel Gas Code, the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code, the 2021 International Property Maintenance Code, the 2021 International Existing Building Code, and the 2021 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code, and the 2021 International Fire Code; providing for adoption of certain local amendments including amendments as recommended by the North Central Texas Council of Governments (“NCTCOG”) to the codes as enumerated; providing for the incorporation of premises; providing for amendment; providing a cumulative repealer clause; providing for severability; providing a penalty in an amount not to exceed two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) for each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed upon each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues; and providing for publication and an effective date.
