Discussion and action to approve a Resolution that the City Council declares that the expenditure of District 8 discretionary funds, in an amount not to exceed $2,000.00, for the curation, construction, promotion, and/or programming of the El Paso Museum of History exhibit “Mountain of Gold: A History of East and Southeast Asian Cultures in El Paso del Norte, 1880s - 1980s” serves the municipal purpose of enhancing the quality of life of the citizens of El Paso through entertainment and by fostering community pride and encouraging civic engagement; and further, that the City Manager, or designee, be authorized to effectuate any budget transfers and execute any contracts and/or related documents necessary to ensure that the funds are properly expended for the municipal purpose
