Authorize the (1) application for and acceptance of three grants from the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) for (a) the TVC Veteran Treatment Court Program (Grant No. VTC27-V-004) in the amount of $53,000.00 for continuation of the South Oak Cliff Veterans Treatment Court Program for the period September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027; (b) the TVC General Assistance Program (Grant No. GEN27-F-011) in the amount of $150,000.00 to further support veterans and their families for the period September 1 through August 31, 2027; and (c) the TVC Housing for Texas Heroes Program (Grant No. HTX27-H-004) in the amount of $70,000.00 to support low income veterans and surviving spouses for the period September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027; (2) establishment of appropriations in an amount not to exceed $53,000.00 in the TVC FY26-27 Veteran Treatment Court Grant Fund, in an amount not to exceed $150,000.00 in the TVC FY26-27 General Assistance Program Grant Fund, and in an amount not to exceed $70,000.00 in the TVC FY26-27 Housing for Texas Heroes Program Grant Fund; (3) receipt and deposit of funds in an amount not to exceed $53,000.00 in the TVC FY26-27 Veteran Treatment Court Grant Fund, in an amount not to exceed $150,000.00 in the TVC FY26-27 General Assistance Program Grant Fund, and in an amount not to exceed $70,000.00 in the TVC FY26-27 Housing for Texas Heroes Grant Fund; and (4) execution of the grant agreements with the Texas Veterans Commission and all terms, conditions and documents required by the agreements - Total not to exceed $273,000.00 - Financing: TVC FY26-27 Veteran Treatment Court Grant Fund ($53,000.00), TVC FY26-27 General Assistance Program Grant Fund ($150,000.00) and TVC FY26-27 Housing for Texas Heroes Program Grant Fund ($70,000.00)
