Authorize (1) the application for and acceptance of a grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration through the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Comprehensive 2027 (Grant No. 2027-Dallas-S-1YG-00007, Assistance Listing No. 20.600) in the amount of $870,196.26 for travel expenses and overtime reimbursement for the period October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027; (2) the establishment of appropriations in an amount not to exceed $870,196.26 in the TxDOT FY27 STEP Comprehensive Grant Fund; (3) the receipt and deposit of funds in an amount not to exceed $870,196.26 in the TxDOT FY27 STEP Comprehensive Grant Fund; (4) a local cash match in the amount of $153,622.33; and (5) execution of the grant agreement with TxDOT and all terms, conditions, and documents required by the agreement - Total amount of $1,023,818.59 - Financing: TxDOT FY27 STEP Comprehensive Grant Fund ($870,196.26) and General Fund ($153,622.33) (subject to appropriations) *In alignment with Vision Zero Plan.
