Authorize (1) the acceptance of a grant from the Motor Vehicle Crimes Prevention Authority (MVCPA) for the FY27 Dallas Auto Theft Task Force Grant (Grant No. 608-27-DPD0000) in the amount of $1,466,864.00 to provide a specialized proactive automobile theft program for the period September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027; (2) the establishment of appropriations in an amount not to exceed $1,466,864.00 in the MVCPA FY27 Auto Theft Task Force Grant Fund; (3) the receipt and deposit of funds in an amount not to exceed $1,466,864.00 in the MVCPA FY27 Auto Theft Task Force Grant Fund; (4) a local cash match in the amount of $294,617.00; (5) an in-kind contribution in an approximate amount of $292,534.00; and (6) execution of the grant agreement with MVCPA and all terms, conditions, and documents required by the agreement - Total not to exceed $2,054,015.00 - Financing: MVCPA FY27 Auto Theft Task Force Grant Fund ($1,466,864.00 ) and General Fund ($587,151.00) (subject to appropriations)
