Authorize the (1) application for and acceptance of a grant from U.S Department of Transportation through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) for the FY2024 High Priority-Commercial Motor Vehicle (HP-CMV) Grant Program (Grant No. 69A3602441559MHP0TX, Assistance Listing No. 20.237) in the amount of $506,102.00 for the purpose of keeping roads safe by providing the Dallas Police Department CMV Squad with intensive and continuous training, new equipment, and overtime benefits in order to conduct safety inspections upon commercial motor vehicles on the roadway for the period September 1, 2024 through September 30, 2026; (2) establishment of appropriations in an amount not to exceed $506,102.00 in the FMCSA FY24 High Priority CMV Grant Fund; (3) receipt and deposit of funds in an amount not to exceed $506,102.00 in the FMCSA FY24 High Priority CMV Grant Fund; and (4) execution of the grant agreement with FMCSA and all terms, conditions, and documents required by the agreement - Not to exceed $506,102.00 - Financing: FMCSA FY24 High Priority CMV Grant Fund
