  2. 2 Pursuant to Section 8 44 112 of the Tennessee Code Annotated, time is reserved for public comment on legislative items appearing on this agenda or related to the committee. Members of the public wishing to speak may sign up on the Council Committee signup sheet posted outside the room where the committee is scheduled to meet. Public Comment sign up for Council Committee meetings will end immediately before the meeting begins. Public Comment is limited to eight minutes total at Council Committee meetings and each speaker is allowed up to two minutes to speak. All public comment speakers must present proof of Tennessee residency. A resolution accepting a grant from the Tennessee Office of Criminal Justice Programs to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Office of the District Attorney General, to provide partial funding for three specialized Victim Witness Coordinators to work with Spanish-speaking victims and within the Crimes Against Children unit. A resolution approving an application for a Youth Homelessness NOFO (Notice of Funding Opportunity) for FY2024 & FY2025 grant from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Office of Homeless Services, to address the social and emotional well-being of youth by implementing a youth and young adults curriculum to help increase resiliency in the individual, agencies, and overall system.   6. 3. A resolution accepting the terms of a cooperative purchasing master agreement with Incident Communication Solutions, LLC d/b/a PEAKE for public safety connectivity and technology for the Nashville Fire Department. RS2026-2239
  7. 4. A resolution accepting the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) from the U. S. Department of Justice to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime including technology upgrades, supplies for direct support, and in-service and specialized training. A resolution approving Amendment Number 1 to a contract between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Benchmark Solutions, LLC dba Benchmark Analytics, LLC for the Benchmark Management System, among other things for the Metro Nashville Police Department. A resolution to approve the Second Amendment to the Lease Agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority for use of the property commonly known as the John C. An ordinance directing the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department and the Mayor’s Office, through the Office of Youth Safety, and requesting the coordination of Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, to jointly develop an education and information-sharing initiative aimed at identifying and countering the growing threat of online extremist content that targets and exploits young people in Nashville and Davidson County.
