- Morton Salt Purchase<br><br>It is recommended to award the 2026–2027 Rock Salt Contract to Morton Salt through the North Hills Council of Governments (COG) at $95.03 per ton of rock salt delivered. The current contract with Morton Salt is for $88.01 per ton of rock salt delivered. Ms. Bastianini and Mr. Kurpakus recommend awarding the contract to Morton Salt through the North Hills COG.<br><br><em><strong>Motion to</strong> [approve, deny, or approve with conditions] the 2026–2027 Rock Salt Contract to Morton Salt through the North Hills COG at a price of $95.03 per ton of rock salt delivered.
- Borough Council Special Meeting<br data-pasted="true"><br>A Special Meeting of the Borough Council was held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 6 p.m. to discuss the purchase of parcel 438-G-10, 580 Old Mill Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15238.
- Naming of a Private Lane Off of Hunt RoadNaming the private lane off of Hunt Road is necessary for public safety, per the Guidelines adopted by the Borough Council at the May 20, 2024, Council meeting.Residents at the current addresses 230, 232, 234, 236, 242, and 244 Hunt Road have unanimously agreed to name their private drive Hunt Woods Lane. Allegheny County Address Administration has informed the Borough that there are no issues with this lane name. The households on the right side of the lane (even number side) will remain the same, while the two houses located on the left side of the road (242 and 244) will change to 233 (242 current) and 235 (244 current). <br><br><em><strong>Motion to</strong> [approve, deny, or approve with conditions] the selected private lane name for the current address numbers 230, 232, 234, 236, 242, and 244 Hunt Road to Hunt Woods Lane, and the change from 242 and 244 to 233 and 235, with the remaining house numbers staying the same.
- Municibid - 2012 Towmaster T20 Heavy Equipment TrailerBids were received on Municibid for the sale of the 2012 Towmaster T20 Heavy Equipment Trailer. It is recommended to award the sale of the trailer to the high bidder, Justin Lorch.<br><br><strong><em>Motion to </em></strong><em>[award, deny, or award with conditions] the sale of the 2012 Towmaster T20 Heavy Equipment Trailer to Justin Lorch, in the amount of $6,700.
- Ratification of Payments<br><br><strong><em>Motion to </em></strong><em>[ratify, deny, or ratify with conditions] the payment of bills for May 2026, General Fund Vouchers 6500 - 6541, in the amount of $806,741.44<span style="background-color: rgb(26, 188, 156);"></span>.
- Environmental Disturbance Application No. 26-07<br>115 Old Indian Trail: Construction of a new single-family dwelling<br><br><strong><em>Motion to </em></strong><em>[approve, deny, or approve with conditions] Environmental Disturbance Application No. 26-07 as submitted, contingent upon the proper marking of the entire site — the L.O.D and trees for removal — within the next week, before the Borough Council meeting on June 15, and to include amending the application statement, which incorrectly identifies a forest on the lot and clear-cutting of a forest, neither of which applies.
- Environmental Disturbance Application No. 26-08<br>114 Old Indian Trail: Proposed installation of a patio and pavilion/pergola structure in the rear of the lot<br><br><strong data-pasted="true"><em>Motion to </em></strong><em>[approve, deny, or approve with conditions] Environmental Disturbance Application No. 26-08 as submitted, contingent upon the submittal of a more robust replanting plan within the next week, that also addresses the 42 trees not replanted. Submission of the drainage pipe's outfall elevations to the Borough Engineer. A Geotech opinion that the retaining wall and the structure as proposed will not negatively impact slope stability on the lot. Amending the drawing to include the existing stormwater infiltration facility. And including the requested modifications for steep slopes and very steep slopes with moderate risk.
- Junior Council Person (JCP) RecognitionRecognize Kabeer Chopra and Laurence Park, both graduating seniors at Shady Side Academy. Kabeer has been a member of the JCP since September 2024, and Laurence has been a member since September 2025.
