Discussion and possible action regarding an amendment to the "Sick Leave Policy" on page 28 of the 2026 Oklahoma County Employee Handbook to include grandchildren, grandparents, and siblings as stated: An employee may utilize sick leave for the following reasons: Personal illness. Illness of a spouse, child, parent, grandchild, grandparent, sibling, or legal dependent. Personal medical, dental, or vision appointments. Medical, dental, or vision appointments of a spouse, child, parent, grandchild, grandparent, sibling, or legal dependent. This item recommended by the Handbook Committee and recommended by Brandi Mertens, Chair for the Handbook Committee.
