Discussion and possible action related to a Request for Funds (RFF) through the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse, pursuant to Enrolled SB 844 that became effective July 1, 2023. An Act, relating to mental health which relates to the County Community Safety Investment Fund, a designating fund for the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, which relates to savings and averted costs from implementation of the Oklahoma Smart Justice Reform Act. The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), acting as the pass-thru in collaboration with Treatment Courts, will submit the Request for Funds (RFF) and the BOCC will receive the requested funds on behalf of Treatment Courts and the Oklahoma District Attorney’s Office. The Request for Funds (RFF) and any other application for funds will be completed by Nikkiey Morton, Oklahoma County Grant Administrator and certified by the Chairperson of the Board of County Commissioners, if applicable.
