- PROJECT UPDATES• Police StationThe Police Station remains on schedule, with the roof, exterior brickwork, and interior framing complete. The communication tower has been installed, with antennae to be placed at a later date. Electrical and plumbing work is progressing on schedule.• Fire Station No. 1Fire Station No. 1 is also on track, with the metal structure rapidly taking shape and the roof installation in progress.• Water Treatment Plant Generator Project: The gas connection was installed last week, and the generator should be online within the next couple of weeks.• Wastewater Plant Improvement Project: The plug valves originally anticipated for delivery last week have not yet arrived, and the contractor is actively working with the supplier to obtain an updated delivery schedule for these critical components. Provided the valves are not subject to a significant delay, the treatment plant is expected to begin operations in November. Multiple crews remain engaged onsite and are continuing to make progress toward meeting the revised project completion date of December 31, 2026.• Food Truck Park: Bids received for the “The Feedlot” food truck park at Coweta Commons were significantly higher than anticipated. City staff are currently working with the project designers to evaluate alternative options to better align the project with the available budget. Staff anticipates bringing a revised recommendation forward for a potential award in October.• 121st Street Bridge Project: City staff met with the property owner and project consultants on September 11, 2026, and all parties are confident that a proposed alternative design will satisfactorily address the needs and objectives of both the property owner and the City. The City Engineer is preparing to issue the bid package for approval, allowing the project to move forward as expeditiously as possible. <span style="font-family:'Segoe UI';font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;line-height:20px;">Following approval, the project will be advertised for bids, evaluated, and presented for contract award.
