- <strong><span style="text-transform: uppercase;">Resolution 2026-47 ACCEPTANCE OF a temporary easement on 121st street south for the 121st street bridge widening project</span></strong>
- PROJECT UPDATES• Police StationThe Police Station remains on schedule. The main entrance canopy has been installed, and all exterior brickwork is complete. Interior drywall installation, taping, and finishing are currently underway. All exterior windows have been installed, and temporary exterior doors are in place.<br><br><strong>• Fire Station No. 1</strong><br>Fire Station No. 1 remains on schedule, with the brick wainscot completed along the north side of the building. Roofing installation and ductwork are currently underway in the administration area, while metal panel installation continues on the apparatus bay.• Water Treatment Plant Generator Project: The gas connection has been installed, and we are just waiting for the gas meter to be set before the generator can be brought online.• Wastewater Plant Improvement Project: The contractor continues to make progress on the 18-inch airlines, Manhole No. 1, and electrical work throughout the project. Hydrostatic testing of the 6-inch scum and 16-inch effluent lines was attempted, with leaks identified for repair. Multiple crews remain engaged onsite and are continuing to make progress toward meeting the revised project completion date of December 31, 2026.<br><br><strong>• 121st Street Bridge Project: </strong><br>Thanks to the collaborative efforts of City staff and property owner Mark Parette of TIP Properties, the 121st Street Bridge project has reached a major milestone. Agreements for the required right-of-way acquisition and temporary construction easement are on the agenda for approval. The project was advertised for bids on October 3, with bid opening scheduled for November 4 at City Hall. Once completed, the new bridge will provide a significant improvement to the corridor, accommodating two lanes of traffic and safely supporting all vehicle types.
