Oviatt Street (Historic District) Alteration (Garage Door) Submitted by Gregg Treadwell a) The Secretary of Interior Standards state deteriorated historic features shall be repaired rather than replaced. Where the severity of deterioration requires replacement of a distinctive feature, the new feature shall match the old in design, color, texture, and other visual qualities and, where possible, materials. Replacement of missing features shall be substantiated by documentary, physical, or pictorial evidence. Staff notes the applicant has submitted multiple product specification sheets for the door. If the AHBR determines the original garage door may be replaced, the Clopay wood door would be appropriate for the Historic District. b) Submit clear photos/documentation verifying the existing garage door can not be repaired.
