A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS AND TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE DIVISION STREET CULVERT REPLACEMENT WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Brief Description: In June, City workers investigated a sink hole on Division Street. An inspection of the utility infrastructure under the road identified that the storm water “box culvert” was deteriorating and starting to fail. Consequently, staff closed this section of Division Street and temporarily placed steel plates over the failing section of culvert. Staff evaluated alternative solutions to repair the culvert and identified that a portion of the lid to the box culvert needs replaced.
