A RESOLUTION AFFIRMING THE APPLICATION SUBMITTED BY THE CITY MANAGER’S DESIGNEE TO THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY’S (FEMA) FY24 FIRE PREVENTION AND SAFETY GRANT TO SUPPORT THE SAFE SENIORS PROGRAM. Brief Description: The Fiscal Year 2024 Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S) Grant is a federally funded opportunity administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) under the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program. The primary goal of the FP&S Grant is to support projects that enhance the safety of the public and firefighters from fire and related hazards. The FP&S Grant is divided into two main categories: 1) Fire Prevention and Safety Activities, or 2) Firefighter Safety Research and Development. The City of Hudson could receive the requested amount of $45,000 with a 5% match of $2,250.
