ORDINANCE submitted by Sheryl M. M. Long, City Manager, on 8/3/2026, AUTHORIZING the City Manager to apply for, accept, and appropriate a grant of up to $86,695 in FY 2024 Project Safe Neighborhoods funds from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance coordinated by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Ohio, and administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Services (ALN 16.609), for the purchase of supplies and equipment and the implementation of enhanced hot spot policing efforts, including augmented directed patrol and Police Visibility Overtime to increase community engagement and address violent crime; and AUTHORIZING the Finance Director to deposit the grant funds into Law Enforcement Grant Fund 368x8553, project account no. 24PSN.
