Approval Parking Lot Agreement Renewal; Public Parking Lot Agreement Renewal between the City of Lenoir, First Baptist Church of Lenoir, and the County of Caldwell for the property located on the north side of Ashe Avenue behind First Baptist Church (owned by First Baptist Church), as submitted. For use of the property, the City and County will share all costs and expenses equally, on a 50/50 basis, up to $16,500.00 toward the costs of certain improvements to the parking area. The lease will become effective upon execution of all parties for a term of 20 years.

  6. 2027 City Council Meeting Schedule: Approval of the 2027 City Council Meeting schedule as submitted.
  7. Approval Proposed Updates to the Western Piedmont Council of Governments (WPCOG) Charter and Bylaws; Last updated in 2007, the Charter and Bylaws updates serve to increase transparency and clarity for our local governments. The Executive Committee and the Policy Board unanimously approved and recommended these changes. These updates have also been reviewed by WPCOG legal counsel.
  8. Public Hearing; Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Arrowood Street SE Bridge; A second public hearing will be held to discuss a Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) $1,357,984.54 grant request to be submitted to the North Carolina Department of Commerce. This project will replace the damaged Arrowood Street SE Bridge.

Public Hearing; Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Water Treatment Plant Generator; A second public hearing will be held to discuss a Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) $4,491,520 grant request to be submitted to the North Carolina Department of Commerce. This project will install a new primary backup generator at the George L. Bernhardt (Lake Rhodhiss) Water Treatment Plant. The plant provides water service to more than 25,000 water customers in Caldwell County.
