Matt Stratton, EMA Director reported on the following items from Tropical Storm Arthur: a) Provided public information and safety warnings, managed incident action planning, conducted situational assessments, and coordinated resource requests. b) Most life safety issues have been resolved. A small number of airboat rescues were conducted in coordination with the Sheriff's Department. River levels are continuing to recede, and floodwaters have subsided in several areas. c) Shelters have been established with the Red Cross managing operations and providing assistance to residents. d) A meeting is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. to discuss safe re-entry for residents, mass care operations, and ongoing sheltering needs.
