Gerald Blessey, Dr. Paul Mickle, Brandy Armstrong, Scientist, and Dr. Scott Milroy presented reports from the Mississippi Sound Coalition regarding “tipping points” associated with the Bonnet Carré Spillway. Following full discussion, the Board adopted an ORDER spreading upon the minutes the reports received from Mississippi State University and the Mississippi Sound Coalition, including research related to flood protection, ecological “tipping points,” and hydrodynamic “tipping points” in the Mississippi Sound in response to openings of the Bonnet Carré Spillway.
