The Board discussed the following items: a) Tim Holleman reported that the State Supreme Court will hold a hearing regarding Voting Rights case. He also reported that he is working on the Rev. John S. Vaughn versus Harrison County lawsuit. b) Angela Thrash, Chancery Clerk, advised that the Board should hold an additional meeting on March 26, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. for the payment of claims. c) Supervisor Cuevas asked the Zoning Director whether meetings had been scheduled regarding the Comprehensive Plan and Unified Development Code updates. The Zoning Director stated that no meetings have been scheduled as of yet. d) Supervisor Powers reported on the Blue Ribbon Committee and issues involving CPS caregivers related to the recent case of a 14-year-old who escaped a sexual predator. Supervisor Powers requested information regarding the current status and care of the juvenile. The Board Attorney suggested writing a letter requesting information on the current situation.
