Sheriff Haley reported that 829 persons are currently housed in the Harrison County Jail Facilities. This number is comprised of 80 misdemeanors, 271 state inmates, 9 federal inmates, 72 inmates awaiting transfer to a state facility, 15 juveniles housed at the Adult Detention Center, 8 juveniles housed at the Juvenile Detention Center, with 23 juveniles for Harrison County. The Board discussed legislation for inmate housing fees and caps for housing fees.
