The Board held a hearing at 10:30 a.m. on Case File 2511HC168 and received the following comments: a) Introduction by Eric Nolan, Zoning Administrator. b) Comments by Matthew Schloegel, attorney opposed to the Zoning Map Amendment and Conditional Use Permit c) Comments by Malcom Jones, Attorney for the Mid-South Companies, and Mississippi Baptist Convention Board d) Rebuttal by Matthew Schloegel After a full discussion the Board adopted an ORDER denying the appeal and affirming the decision of the Planning Commission and approving a zoning map amendment filed by Steve Bryan (Mid-South Companies, LLC) for Mississippi Baptist Convention Board (Shawn Parker) for several parcels of land totaling 31.34 acres fronting on the Bay of St. Louis in Henderson Point; the property is currently zoned as an R-1 (Low Density Residential) District. The request is to change the zoning district classification to an R-2 (Medium Density Residential) District for the purpose of developing a multi-household development of four condominium buildings and twenty single-family household dwellings with a total of 254 residential condominium units and to obtain a Conditional Use Permit for the multi-household residential development.
