Sheriff Haley reported that 781 persons are currently housed in the Harrison County Jail Facilities. This number is comprised of 81 misdemeanants, 180 state inmates, 11 federal inmates, 53 inmates awaiting transfer to a state facility, 15 juveniles housed at the Adult Detention Center, and 9 juveniles housed at the Juvenile Detention Center, of which 8 are from Harrison County and 1 from Hancock County.
