All recipients are required to provide proof of advertising. These expenditures shall be payable from Account No. 002-100-522, as follows: a) $1,000.00 awarded to Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity in support of the 26th Annual Golf Tournament, scheduled for June 14, 2025, at the Windance Golf Course in Gulfport, Mississippi. This event is organized to help provide scholarships to high school students across the Gulf Coast, the adoption of two (2) local schools, supporting at-risk youth at the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity's summer camp, and their Annual Feed the Homeless Project within local communities. b) $1,500.00 awarded to Griots Society of Gulfport in support of the 2025 Gulfport City-Wide 25th Annual Juneteenth Celebration, held June 17 - June 22, 2025, in (TurkeyCreek) Gulfport, Mississippi. This week-long celebration will commemorate the historic significance of Juneteenth, highlighting African American culture, heritage, and resilience through a series of community-focused events, educational activities, and festivities. c) $1,000.00 awarded to Gulfport High School Track and Field Booster Club in support of hosting the 2025 Annual Gaston Hewes Relays, held on April 11, 2025, at Gulfport High School Track. The event unites several local Mississippi schools, where student-athletes face off in an exhilarating lineup of track and field competitions. d) $500.00 awarded to Gulfport High School's Admiral Theater Booster Club to support disadvantaged students by providing financial assistance for their travel and participation in workshops at the Disney Imagination Campus of Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida, in May 2025. e) $500.00 awarded to Vernon Gilbert Elks Lodge #576 in support of celebrating its 100th Anniversary. There will be events on Thursday through Saturday, ending with an Evening Gala Banquet during April 24-26, 2025. f) $500.00 awarded to It's All About Nay's Kids in support of hosting their Soria City Annual Easter Egg Hunt held on April 12, 2025. g) $4,000.00 awarded to Woolmarket Youth Sports in support of the local community youth softball and baseball leagues for the year 2025. h) $200.00 to D'Iberville/St. Martin Chamber of Commerce in financial support of Taste of the Bay, April 12, 2025 at the D'Iberville Community Center. i) $1,000.00 awarded to the D'Iberville Youth Baseball League in support of the 2025 Spring Baseball Season financially assisting with equipment and umpire fees. j) $2,000.00 awarded to the Diversity Center of D'Iberville in support of mental health and additional support services to families in the local community.
