Dr. Karla Pope with the Blue Ribbon Committee on Child Protection appeared before the Board to present the findings of the committee. Essentially, there needs to be better communication between all agencies i.e. CPS, Memorial Hospital, Youth Court and law enforcement. She suggested that the mandatory report law be modified to include notification to law enforcement.
