The Board received comments about the RFP for ambulance services from Pat Sullivan, on behalf of the selection committee, representatives of Acadian, AMR and Pafford Ambulance Services and the city of D'Iberville. As a result, it was determined that the city of Gulfport will choose a provider for their EMS District and that the city of D'Iberville wants this option to be available in the future to serve their own EMS District. In light of those changes the Board will need time to review the proposals before making a final decision and extending the existing contract with AMR. All participants of the Selection Committee were requested to present their needs for better drafting of the contract covering ambulance services in their area. It was also suggested that an Oversight Committee be formed to continue monitoring services of the selected ambulance service.
